Believe it or not, the future is AI. It is present almost everywhere today. People from all walks of life are now learning coding. Even people who are not data scientists are understanding the importance of AI and are trying to incoroporate it in their profession as well. Andrew Ng, chief data scientist at Baidu, says, "AI is the new electricity".

On one hand there is so much support for AI, on the other hand people are saying that soon AI will take over mankind and humanity would end leaving behind a world ruled by robots. This challenge has been perfectly answered by Andrew Ng. He said "The reason I say that I don’t worry about AI turning evil is the same reason I don’t worry about overpopulation on Mars."

Now the next question is where to start or which programming language to learn. Though Java has been at the top for a long time, python has increased enormously in the past 10 years and has become the most popular programming language as shown by the graph below. Python has simplified syntax and gives more emphasis on natural language. Due to its ease of learning and usage, python codes can be easily written and executed much faster than other programming languages. Almost everything that we use today contains AI made using python.

However, there are certain disadvantages as well. When it comes to app development, python is not the preferred language. More the conversion of the python code to apk file can be very lengthy in most cases.

In conclusion, for problem solving and other purposes, python is the most popular programming language.
